This tutorial was written on April 19 2015. I used Corel X7, but it should work in other versions as well. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: A tube of choice. I used a tube by Veronica Nuñez. You can purchase her art at Digital Art Heaven. You need a license to use her art. You’ll need an animation. I’m using “bars” by Missy at Devine Intentionz. Remember that animations can be colourized to match the tube you use. (Look at example at the bottom) A font of choice. I used a font called “Bubblegun”. Materials/plugins used: Mura Meister Copies AlienSkin EyeCandy 5 Perspective Shadow (Optional) EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow AnimationShop or Photoshop for animating. IMPORTANT: DO NOT CROP UNTIL I SAY SO FURTHER DOWN. This can mess up the result of the effects you’re using. Before we start, I would like to point out that I do my animations in Photoshop. Because of that, I start by opening the animation in PSP. I opened this particular animation in Animation Shop, selected all the frames, copied them and pasted as new image in PSP. I then, cropped it to 600x250. If you animate in AS, you can skip what I just told you and add the animation at the end. This will obviously affect how you start the creation. The regular way: Make a new image 600x250 floodfilled with white. (My way: Add a new layer and move it to the bottom. Floodfill with white.) Copy and paste your tube. Add Mura Meister Copies - Wallpaper Rotate - Default settings.(Make sure that the tube is covering the whole canvas. Repeat MM if you need to.) Duplicate this layer. On the original tube layer; go to Effects - Texture Effects - Mosaic Antique at these settings: On the copy layer; Adjust Blur - Gaussian Blur set to 5. Change this layer to Overlay or another suitable blend mode. On the same layer, add Effects - Distortion Effect - Curlicues with these settings: Then go to Effects - Edge Effects and Enhance More. Reduce opacity to 50%. Activate the top layer and add your tube. I had to resize mine to 50%. Place on left side of the canvas and add a dropshadow of choice. I used AlienSkin EyeCandy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow with these settings: Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Make sure you’re still on the top layer and add a new layer. Floodfill with a contrasting colour from your tube. I used the blue colour that is on the animation: #3bcafe Select All - Contract by 4. Floodfill the selection with black, contract by 1 and delete. Select none. Add a dropshadow to the frame: 0,0,100,10, Black. Add a wordart of choice. I’m using the one that comes with the tube. I resized it down to 50% and added a dropshadow: 2,2,50,5, Black. I moved it to the top right corner. Activate your text tool. Change the font to Bubblegun, size 60 px, Anti-alias Smooth, Create as Vector. Type your name and convert to raster. Add EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow with these settings: Add copyright info. Animate: If you animate in Photoshop, just save the file as PSD and open it in PS. Animate as you usually do. If you need a tutorial on how to animate in Photoshop, Abstract has one HERE. This is how to add animations to a premade tag. And Rebel Dezigns has a different tutorial on how to animate in PS. This one is great if you add the animation in your PSP (like I do). Check it out HERE. If you animate in Photoshop, please remember to set the speed on the frames to 0.1 If you animate in Animation Shop and haven’t added the animation to your tag in PSP, here’s what you do: Close all layers except the 4 layers at the bottom. Copy merged and paste in AS. Duplicate the layer so you have the same amount of frames as the animation has. Add the animation like you usually do. Go back to your PSP, close off the 4 bottom layers, unhide the rest. Copy merged again and paste it to your tag in AS, the way you normally do it. Sorry for not being more detailed with how to do things in AS, but it’s been a long time since I animated with AS. Save your creation as gif and you’re done! Here are 2 other sample made by my friends Heidi and Kat: Thanks for stopping by.

This tutorial was written on February 08 2015. I used Corel X7, but it should work in other versions as well. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: An tube of choice. I used a tube by Kathy Siney called Cherrybaby. You can purchase her art at Digital Art Heaven. A font of choice. I used a font called “Baby Lexi”. Materials used: MuraMeister – Copies Eye Candy 5 – Textures – Marble (Other versions work as well) Eye Candy 6 – Perspective Shadow (Optional) Make a new image 600x250 and flood fill it with white. Add a new raster and flood fill with a colour from the tube. Set background to white, foreground null and activate your rectangle preset shape. Draw out a thin line across the canvas. Center in canvas and convert to raster. Go to Effects – MuraMeister – Copies and change the settings to this: You might have to play with the Gap settings, depending on how thick your white line is. Activate your selection tool, set to rectangle and choose Custom Selection with these numbers: Still on the striped layer, promote Selection to layer. Deselect. Rotate this layer 90 degrees to left or right and move it to the left half of your canvas. Do the same steps for the coloured background. Deselect. Move the promoted background to the left a bit so it's not sticking out. See my tag for reference. Hide the top 2 layers for now. Go to the striped layer. Go to Adjust – Blur – Radial Blur and add these settings: Go to the coloured background, click Effects – Eye Candy 5 - Textures – Marble. You can play around with the settings if you like, but use colours that match your tube. Here are the settings I used: Add a close-up of your tube, mirror it and place it to the far right. Change the layer properties to Soft Light or one of the other options. Add a drop shadow to the close-up
Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Unhide the top 2 layers and merge the striped layer down to the one below it. The layer name is Promoted Selection 1. Duplicate this layer and rotate the copy 90 degrees to left or right. Move this to the left side and change the layer properties to Soft Light. Add a drop shadow to the original layer. I used 0-0-100-10-Black. Make sure you're on the top layer and add the tube. Add a drop shadow I used Eye Candy Perspective Shadow with the blurry setting. Add a new layer and flood fill with black. Select all, contract by 1, invert and delete. Select none. Add drop shadow 0-0-100-10-Black. Add your name and copyright. Save as jpg and you're done! Thanks for trying my tutorial. Here is another sample, using art by Jen Lambein. Do NOT use her art without permission. This tutorial was written December 5th, 2013. I used Corel X5, but it should work in other versions as well. It’s assumed that you have working knowledge on how to resize and working with layers. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: Any tube or image you decide on. I’m using a stunning tube by Sarah Bennett. At the time I wrote this tutorial, she was selling at My Tubed Art. I don't know where she is selling now, but I will update the tutorial when I find out. I also used a stunning PTU kit called “Red Christmas” by CBJ. This kit is no longer available at any stores. Here is a preview of the kit: Materials you need: A mask of your choice. I used “DD_WinterMask_11” by Dangerously Delicious (Dee). A font that you like. I used “A&S Christmas Script”. This is a PTU font. I also used “PF Rhonda Seven” (size 8px, anti-alias off) for the copyright (Optional) Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) My settings for drop shadow: -3, -3, 70, 8, Black. I always add the drop shadow to the layers once I’m done, but you can add the drop shadow as you go if you like. Lets get started! Make a new transparent canvas 700x700 px. Paste a frame and resize if needed. I used CBJ_RCBracetFrm and resized it down by 55%. Paste the tube (or an image) underneath the frame and place in position. Back on the frame layer, click inside the frame with your Magic Wand. Expand the selection by 5 and add a new layer underneath the tube layer. Paste a paper of choice inside the selection. I used CBJ_RCP3. With the selection still active, go to the tube layer, Invert the Selection and hit delete. Paste RCFlakes right above the paper layer. Resize it by 50% and hit delete to get rid of the bits that are outside the frame. There are multiple ways to do this, so just do it the way you prefer. Deselect. Activate the bottom layer and add DoodleFrame as a new layer. Resize it down by 75% and rotate it 20 degrees to the right. Now it’s time to have some fun and add some elements :) Activate the top layer and add RCHolly as a new layer. Resize it down by 50% and place it at the bottom center. Paste RCArrangement as a new layer. Resize it by 50%, mirror it and place it at the top right corner of the frame. Paste CBJ_RCRedDec and resize it down to 30%. Place it at the left center of the frame. Look at my tag for reference. Paste CBJ_RCRibbon1 or 2 and resize it by 50%. Rotate it 90 degrees to the right and place it underneath the Holly layer. Move it towards the left, duplicate and mirror the copy. See my tag for reference. Paste CBJ_RCABranch2 right above the Holly, resize it by 50% and place it towards the bottom right side. Duplicate and mirror. Merge these 2 branches together. Paste CBJ_RCGiftBow as a new layer right above the Branches and resize it by 50%. Place it at the bottom center. Go back to the Branch layers and remove the thicker sticks that are sticking out below the GiftBow. See my tag for reference to what I removed and placement. Activate the bottom layer again and add CBJ_RCBerrieDeco. Resize it by 50% and place it in the top left corner. Now you can add any other elements you want. If you’re done with that, go to the bottom layer again. Select all and paste a paper into the selection. I used Paper 12. Deselect. Add a mask to this layer and Merge Group. You might want to play around with it a little with the Pick Tool. At least that’s what I did. If you haven’t added a Drop Shadow to the layers, now it’s time to do so. I even added the Drop Shadow to the mask layer to make it pop. Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Activate your Font Tool and type out your name. Convert to Raster and add a Gradient Glow with one of two colors from the tag. I used the Fat setting with 2 red colour and these settings: Add the same Drop Shadow to the name.
Resize your tag down to 500px on the longest side. Add proper copyright info and save as PNG. Thanks for trying my tutorial. I’d love to see what you make :) Hugs Lithy If you can't see the animation, please click HERE. This tutorial was written on September 16, 2013. Make a custom selection with these settings: and hit Delete on the top layer. Keep selected and add a closeup of your tube. Place it inside the selection, Expand by 1, Invert and hit Delete. Deselect and change the layer properties of the closeup to Soft Light. Go to the layer with Craquelure on it. With your Magic Wand, click inside the rectangle, expand by 1. Go to the bottom layer and Promote the Selection to layer. We’ll get back to this layer soon. Keep selected and add a new raster above the Craquelure layer. Expand by 2 and floofill with a dark colour from your tube. Contract by 5, hit Delete and Deselect. Add a drop shadow: 0, 0, 100, 10, Black. Add a new raster and floofill with the dark colour you used earlier. Add mask from image but remember to inver it in the settings. Merge group. Now, we don’t want to ruin the closeup with claw marks all over it, so set your Selection too to Rectangle, draw out a rectangle around the claw marks on the right side and hit Delete. Deselect. Add a drop shadow: 0, 0, 100, 10, Black. Add a new raster, go to Effects – Alien Skin Xenofex 2 – Lightning and go with these settings: Repeat this process 2 more times, each on a new raster layer and hit Random Seed each time. Hide the top 2 layers for now. Activate the top layer and add your tube. Move it towards the left. Duplicate it. On the bottom tube, add Gaussian Blur at a radius of 3. On the duplicate, add Xero Porcelain at default settings and change the layer properties to Luminance (L). Add a drop shadow to the bottom tube layer or use Eye Candy 6 – Perspective Shadow – Blurry setting. Crop your creation with Merge Opaque. Add a new raster and floodfill with the dark colour you used earlier. Select All and Contract by 3. Delete and Deselect. Add a drop shadow: 0, 0, 100, 10, Black. Go back to the promoted layer you made earlier and duplicated this twice, for a total of 3 layers. On the top one, add Poolshadow with these settings: On the layer below, use the same settings but change the top Diagonal and Center to 60.
On the bottom layer, change the Diagonal and Center to 70. Hide the top 2 rectangles for now. Add your name ond proper copyright. Animation: Make sure that the top two lightning layers and the top two rectangle layers are hidden and copy merged. Paste as a new animation in AS. Go back to your PSP, hide the bottom rectangle layer and lightning layer, unhide the next rectangle layer and lightning layer and Copy Merged again. Paste it after the first frame in AS. Repeat this for the last rectangle layer and lightning layer. Change the frame properties to s suitable speed (approx 20-30) and save as a gif. You can download it from his blog HERE. Don’t forget to check out all his other templates as well. They are awesome! A font of choice. I used “Black Asylum”. Materials used: Animation Shop Toadies – Living Sine (Circular) Xero – Fritillary Eye Candy 6 – Perspective Shadow (Optional) Drop shadow used in this tutorial: 2, 2, 70 7, Black. Open the template in your PSP and press Shift D. Close the original template. Delete the credits layer on the template. Activate the background layer. Add Toadies Living Sine (Circular) with the default settings. If you use a different tube, please feel free to play with the settings so you get colours that match your tube. Alternatively, you can make a gradient with colours from your tube and floodfill with that instead. Add Xero Fritillary with these settings on the Main Background: Go to Effects – Edge Effects and choose Enhance. Activate the Edges Spirals. Go to Adjust – Brightness/Contrast and move the Brightness bar all the way to the max. Add a drop shadow. Go to the Left Spiral Background. Select All – Float and Defloat. Add Toadies Living Sine again, using the same settings as before. Deselect. Repeat this with the Right Spiral Background. Activate the Left Spiral Background and duplicated this 4 times, so you have a total of 5 copies of it. On each of these layers, go to Image – Free Rotate and with these settings: Leave the original Left Spiral Background as it is. Duplicate 1 – 72.00 degrees to the left. Duplicate 2 – 144.00 degrees to the left. Duplicate 3 – 216.00 degrees to the left. Duplicate 4 – 288.00 degrees to the left. Do the same with the Right Spiral Backgrounds, but rotate them to the RIGHT instead. Once you’re done, move the layers on the right side so the layers look like this: With ”Copy (4) of Right Spiral Background” active, merge that down to Copy (4) of Left Spiral Background, so that one left side and one right side is merged together. Do this for the other Spiral Backgrounds as well.
Hide all the Spiral Backgrounds except for the first layer. Add a close up of the tube or a tube in full size. Place it on the left side, on top of the Left Spiral Background. Change the Blend Mode on the tube to Luminace (L), duplicate and mirror. Merge these two tubes together. Go to the layer below, Select All – Float – Defloat – Invert, go back to the tube layer and hit Delete. Once you’re done, go to the Left Spiral and add a drop shadow. Do the same for Right Spiral. Now it’s time to add your tube again. Place it in the center. I resized mine to 80% but it depends on the tube. Add drop shadow. I used Eye Candy 6 – Perspective Shadow with the Blurry setting. Activate the Border layer. Go to Adjust – Brightness/Contrast and move the Brightness bar all the way to the left. Add your name and copyright info. I added a Gradient Glow to the name, but this is optional. Time to animate! Make sure that all the Spiral Backgrounds are closed off except the bottom one. Copy Merged and paste it as a new animation in Animation Shop. Go back to your PSP, hide the first Spiral Background and unhide the next. Copy Merged, go back to AS and Paste After Current Frame. Continue like this until you have done it to all the Spiral Background layers. Once you’re done, still in AS, press Ctrl and A to select all the frames. Go to Animation – Frame Properties and change it to 20. Save as a gif. Thanks for trying my tutorial. Hugs Lithy Here is one for Spawn as well. Thanks for the awesome template my friend! I purchased this when she was selling at MTA. You can purchase her art at her website. A font of choice. I used “A Gentle Touch". Materials used: Toadies – What Are You? VM Toolbox – Motion Trail Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow Drop shadow used in this tutorial: 2, 2, 50, 5, Black. Create a new image 600 x 300 and paste the image you are going to use. You might have to resize it if it’s too big, or move it around so that you get the part of the image you want to use. I rotated mine and resized it with the pick tool so it’s a little bit bigger than the canvas size. I tubed some of the flowers from the image to make them pop out more. This is optional. Activate the Rectangle Tool, set it to Square, line with 5. Draw out a square. See my siggie for placement and size. Duplicate it 3 times and move in to position. Merge the frames and move underneath the tubed flowers (if you did this). Duplicate the image layer so you have a total of 4 (1 original and 3 duplicates). With your Magic Wand active, click inside all the 4 frames, Expand by 5, Invert Go to the top duplicate of the image hit Delete. Deselect. On the duplicate below, put Toadies – What Are you at default setting, lower the opacity to about 50 (depending on your image). On the layer below that, put VM Toolbox – Motion Trail at default settings. Change the layer properties to Luminance (L) or another suitable effect. Edge Effect – Enhance. If you haven’t tubed bits from your image, you can add any embellishments you want now. Place these above the frames and add a drop shadow. My settings are mentioned at the beginning of the tutorial. Add the same drop shadow to the frame layer. Activate the top layer and add a new raster layer. Floodfill with a dark colour from the image. I chose black. Select all and contract by 7. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect. Invert the selection, contract by 1 and floodfill with the same colour you used for the frames earlier. Deselect and add a drop shadow : 0, 0, 100, 10, Black. Add your name and copyright info. I used Gradient Glow at the default setting with these numbers; 3, 25, 100 and a contrasting colour from the image. Save as jpg. Avatar: Click Shift D on the siggie you just finished. Activate the crop function and change the size to 150x150 px. Move it around to find a suitable piece you want to keep and crop it. Delete the blank layers and add the same outer frame and drop shadow as you did on the siggie. Add your initials or name, copyright info and save. Thanks for trying my tutorial. The supplies you need: A close-up of a tube you decide on. I’m using a stunning tube by Terra Bidlespacher. She was selling at MTA when this tutorial was written. I don't know where she is selling now, but I will update the tutorial when I find out. In my second example at the bottom, I used the gorgeous art of Rita Kirby. You have to have a license number to use her art. I don't know if her art is available anymore. I will update this if I find out. A font of choice. I used “TrashButterfly” Materials you need: Mura Meister – Copies Eye Candy 6 – Perspective Shadow (or other versions) Eye Candy 6 – Texture – Swirl (or older versions) Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) Open up a new canvas; 600x250 px and flood fill with a colour from the tube. I used #7ebfbd. Duplicate this layer so you have 4 layers of it in total. We’ll use these later. Paste your tube and go to Effect – Mura Meister Copies and change to Wall Paper (darken) with the default settings: You can play around with the numbers if you want to. Click ok. Change the layer properties to Overlay. Activate your Preset Shapes and find a butterfly. The one I used is called “SK Butterfly Wings 08” I don’t remember where I got this from. If you don’t have it, you can use any other you like. With the background colour set to black and foreground to null, and make a butterfly. See my tag for reference to size. Convert to raster. Select All, Float, Defloat and hide the butterfly layer. Go to the layer below and hit Delete. Do the same with the layer below. (Copy (3) of Raster 1) Hide all layers except the layers where you deleted the butterfly pattern and Merge Visible. Unhide the layers again.Click inside the butterfly with the Magic Wand and Expand the selection by 2. Keep the selection active and go to Copy (2) of Raster 1. Go to Effect - Eye Candy 6 – Swirl and change the settings to this: Repeat this on the other backgrounds, but hit Random Seed each time. Once you have done it to all 3 background layers, choose Deselect. Go to the Overlay layer and add a drop shadow with these setting; 0, 0, 100, 5, Black. Delete the black butterfly layer. We don't need it anymore. Add the tube again and place on the right side. I resized mine down to 80%. Add a drop shadow or use Perspective Shadow with the blurry setting: You can also use other versions of Perspective Shadow.
Add a new layer and flood fill with a dark colour from the tube. I used #454a4e (dark grey from the tube). Select All and contract the selection by 3 and hit Delete. Deselect and add the same drop shadow you used on the Overlay layer. Crop your creation with Merge Opaque. Add your name using the same colour you used as the frame. Convert to raster and add a Gradient Glow. I used Eye Candy 4000 and the Fat setting, with these numbers; 3, 25, 100 and the same colour I used for background. Add a drop shadow to the name. Add proper copyright and save your creations. Open it in your Animation Shop or Photoshop and animate as usual. If you are using AS, don’t forget to slow down the animation some. Probably somewhere between 20 and 30. I animate in PS and I set the delay to 0.4. Save as gif and you’re done! Here is another example with music notes instead of a butterfly, using a tube by Rita Kirby: This tutorial was written June 30th, 2013. I used Corel X3, but it should work in other versions as well. It’s assumed that you have working knowledge on how to resize and working with layers and selections. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: Any tube you decide on. I’m using a stunning tube by Verymany at Pics For Design. I also used a PTU kit called “Eterrnal Torment” by CBJ. Unfortunately this kit is no longer available in any stores. Here is a preview of the kit: (Click on the image to see it in full view) In my second example at the bottom, I used an old FTU kit called “Turquoise Dream” by Vixpsp. Materials you need: A mask of your choice. I used “BigMask018" by Vix. A font that you like. I used “WHaupe_Circus”. Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) My settings for drop shadow: 3, 3, 70, 8, Black. Make a new canvas, 750 x 700 pixels. I start by pasting the tube and move it to the bottom left. You can also do this towards the end of the tutorial if you want. The reason I do it now, is because she is sitting and she isn’t centred, so it makes it easier to paste all the bits I want to use behind her. The tube I use has been colorized to match the kit. Do not do this unless you know how to colorize and it’s allowed according to the artist/company TOU. I resized my tube down by 50% and added a drop shadow to it (using the settings mentioned above). Paste a frame below the tube. I had to resize mine down by 50% and I moved it slightly to the right. Activate your selection tool with the rectangle setting. Draw out a rectangle that follows the frame, like this: Add a new raster below the frame and paste a paper in to the selection. I used P13. Select none. Add a drop shadow to the frame. Time to add some elements. I used only a small selection from the kit. Here is a list with name, size and placement: Envelope: down to 30%. Placed at the bottom towards the bow on the frame. I took my freehand selection tool and traced a part of the ribbon like this: I promoted the selection to a layer and moved it above the envelope. Select none and go to the frame layer. Carefully erase along the area where you got a double drop shadow (underneath the selection you promoted). Make sure that you don’t remove too much. Red sequins: Resize down to 40% and place at the bottom of the envelope. Stars: resize to 40% and place above the paper, inside the frame. Duplicate and move it below the other stars. See my tag for reference. Lilac Blue: Resize down to 40% and place it behind the envelope, a little up and to the right. Red Flutter: Resize down to 40% and place it on the Lilac Blue. Flower3: Activate the bottom layer and paste the flower. Move it up and a little to the left. Red Plant: Resize to 60% and place it below Flower3, up and to the left. Cardboard Heart 2: Resize down to 30% and place in front of the envelope. Rotate 15 degrees to the left. Add any other elements you like. Add a drop shadow to the layers. If you haven't added your tube already, now is the time to do it. Don't forget to add a drop shadow to the tube layer as well. Activate the bottom layer and paste a paper as a new layer. Add your mask and merge group. Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Add your name or saying and place it to your liking. I placed it on the heart and rotated it 15 degrees to the left before converting it to raster. I added a Gradient Glow using two different shades of red/pink from the tag. I used the Fat setting and these numbers: I also added a drop shadow to the name. Resize your tag to 550px on the longest side and add proper copyright to the tag. I always add a thin Gradient Glow to the copyright info, in a contrasting colour or one that matches the background. Save your tag in png or jpg and you’re done! Thanks for trying my tut J Hugs Lithy Here is another example using a FTU kit by Vix: I also used a few elements from other FTU kits she has released in the past and colorized them to match the tag.

I’m using a gorgeous tube by Anna Liwanag at CDO. I also used a PTU kit called “Fairy Tale Dreams” by GrnIz Dezinez. Here is a preview of the kit: Materials you need:
A mask of your choice. I used “Mask91" by Trese. A font that you like. I used “Calligraffitti”. Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) My settings for drop shadow: 3, 3, 70, 8, Black. Make a new canvas, 700 x 700 pixels. Paste element 14 as a new layer. Paste a paper of choice underneath the frame. I used Paper 9. Paste a close up of the tube as a new layer and place it towards the right side, inside the frame. Activate the frame layer. With your magic wand active, click inside the frame and expand the selection by 10 and Invert. Go to the close up and hit Delete and do the same for the paper layer. Deselect. Go to the close up again and change the layer properties to Overlay or another suitable setting. Paste element 17 at the bottom and place it towards the top left side. Move it so that the colours are lined up with the stripes on the frame. Go to the top layer and paste element 40. Resize it down to 70% and place it on the right side. Paste element 37. Resize it down to 85%. Paste element 49 and place it a little bit below the rainbow, as an extension to the clouds. Paste element 18 or 19 and mirror it. Paste the tube and place it on the left side. Paste element 39 and place it along the bottom of the frame. See my tag for reference. I selected and promoted part of her dress to make it look like the edge of her dress is above it. Make sure you’re on the top layer and paste element 26. Resize it to 60% and place it in the bottom left corner. Paste element 25, resize it to 50% and place it in front of the other flower element, a little to the side. Paste element 23, resize it to 50% and place at the bottom right corner. See my tag for reference. Paste element 12 and resize it to 50% and place it at the bottom right corner. Paste the carriage. Resize it down to 50% and place it in the bottom corner. Add any other embellishments you like. The kit has tons of gorgeous things you can add. I have only shown a few of them. Ok, time to add a drop shadow to all the layers if you haven’t done it already. Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Go to the bottom layer and add a paper. I already had a bottom layer that was blank, so I selected all and pasted a paper into the selection and Deselected. I used Paper 7. Add your mask to this layer and Merge Group. Set foreground and background to a colour from the tag. Activate the Text Tool, choose the font and size (I used 80 px) you want to use and type out the name or saying. Convert to raster. I added a Gradient Glow using the Fat setting and a light colour from the tag. Add a drop shadow to the name. Resize your tag. I resized mine to 550px on the longest side. Add your copyright info and save it as a png. Thanks for trying my tutorial! I also made some matching snags that you can find HERE, along with all the other Anna Liwanag snags I have made in the past. Hugs Lithy This tutorial was written May 6th, 2013. I used Corel X3, but it should work in other versions as well. It’s assumed that you have working knowledge on how to resize and working with layers. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: Any tube you decide on. I’m using a gorgeous tube by Michi Art at CDO. I also used a PTU kit called “Seeing Red” by Hana Designz. Here is a preview of the kit: Materials you need: A mask of choice. I used “Mask0103" by Sophisticat Simone at Scrappy Bit Of Fun. Don't forget to check out her animations as well. A font that you like. I used “Parisienne-Regular”. Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) My settings for drop shadow: 3, 3, 70, 8, Black. Make a new canvas, 700 x 700 pixels. Paste Frame5 and rotate 15 degrees to the left. Paste Frame1 underneath this and place it in the top left corner. Paste a paper underneath the black frame. I used Paper10. With you Magic Wand active, click inside the black frame, Expand the selection by 5 and Invert. Go back to the paper layer and hit Delete. Select none. Paste your tube and add a drop shadow to the tube layer. If you use a tube similar to the one I used, you’ll have to remove the bottom part of the tube that is sticking out. There are numerous ways of doing this, but here is what I do: Click inside the black frame with the Magic Wand and Expand by 1. Invert the selection and got the tube layer. Use the eraser to remove the bits that are sticking out at the bottom. Select none. It’s time to place some elements. There are lots of beautiful elements in this kit, and I wish I could show them all lol. Here are a few of the elements I used and where I placed them: HD-84: Place it as a layer between the 2 frames and place it in the top right corner. HD-27: Above the tube at the bottom of the tag. HD-75: Resized down to 70%, flip it and place it underneath HD-27 to the left. Duplicate and mirror and place it on the opposite side at the bottom. See my tag for reference. HD-25: Resized down to 70%, place it underneath HD-75 to the left. Duplicate, mirror and flip and place it on the opposite side at the bottom. HD-12: Paste above the paper and rotate 15 degrees to the left. Duplicate this and move these 2 layers a bit so that you get 2 rows of hearts inside the frame. See my tag for placement. HD-54: Paste it above the black frame and place it in the top right corner of the frame. HD-1: Paste it above the black frame and towards the top right corner of the frame. HD-4: Paste this below the white feathers (HD-75) and resize down to 60%. Place it on the bottom right side. HD-5: Paste this as the top layer and resize it down to 60%. Place it at the bottom left. HD-59: Paste it at the top layer and place it at the bottom left corner. HD-19: Paste it and place it at the bottom of the tag. Send this to the bottom layer, duplicate, mirror and merge these 2 together. Duplicate again and mirror and merge. HD-53: Paste it as the top layer, resize down to 60% twice and place it at the bottom. Go to the bottom layer and paste a paper. I used Paper3. Add your mask to this layer and Merge Group. Tutorial on how to do that can be found HERE. Crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Add a drop shadow to all the layers except the tube layer, paper layer and mask layer. A neat way to add a drop shadow is that once you’ve done it to one layer, go to the next layer and press Ctrl Y on your keyboard. Repeat this to the rest of the layers. I don’t know if it’s the same code in other versions of Paintshop Pro, so you might have to look it up. Add your name using a suitable font. I had both fore- and background layer set to white. Convert your name to raster and add Eye Candy Gradient Glow on it with these settings: Add a drop shadow to the name and resize your tag. I resized mine to 550px on the longest side.
Add proper copyright and save as png or jpg. Thanks for trying! Hugs Lithy |
