This tutorial was written on April 2nd, 2013. I used Corel X3, but it should work in other versions as well. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: A tube of choice. I used a tube by Aleksandra. You can purchase her tubes at MTA. A scrapkit of choice. I used a FTU kit by Gimptastic Scraps, called Evening Dew. Mask of choice. I used Mask 61 by Sophisticat Simone. A font of choice. Materials used: Mura Meister Copies EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow (Optional) Make a new transparent image – 700x700 pixels. Paste Frame 4 to your canvas. Paste a paper (I used Paper 9) below the frame layer. Resize it down to 60%. Paste a close up of your tube and place it inside the frame. With your Magic and active, click inside the frame and expand the selection by 5 and click Invert. Hit delete on your tube layer and paper layer. Add a drop shadow to the frame and tube layer. I used 3, 3, 70, 8, Black throughout the tutorial. Hide the bottom layer and merge visible. Add frame 6 below the merged layer. You can resize it a little bit if you want. I kept it at the original size. Add another paper below the round frame. Click inside the frame with your Magic Wand and expand the selection by 5 and click Invert. Paste Paper 6 below the frame and hit delete. Do not deselect. Instead, click Invert and go to Effects – Texture Effect – Mosaic Antique with these settings: Add the same drop shadow as before on the round frame and merge down. Add WaterDroplets below the round frame and add a drop shadow to it. Activate the top layer. Add Flower1 and resize it down by 50%. Place it at the bottom center and add a drop shadow. Add the element Keys below the flower. Resize down by 50%. Add a drop shadow. See my tag for placement. Add Leaf4 below the keys and add a drop shadow. Place them underneath the keys. Add Leaf3 below Leaf4. Place it towards the right side, duplicate and mirror. Add the same drop shadow as before, on both these layers. Add deco4 below the green leaves, resize it down to 60%, duplicate, mirror and flip. See my tag for placement. Add a drop shadow to both these layers. Activate the round frame layer and paste Heart. Rotate it 15 degrees to the left and place it in the top left corner. Add a drop shadow. Activate the frame with the tube (merged layer) and paste the Birdhouse. Resize it down to 60% and place it on the right side. Add the same drop shadow as used so far. Activate the top layer and paste Gem4. Go to Mura Meister Copies and use these settings: Move the circle of gems to the top right corner and move this layer down to the round frame layer and add a drop shadow. Activate the top layer and paste your tube. Place it to your liking and add a drop shadow. Crop your tag with Merge Opaque, but remember to adjust the crop lines around your tag before you accept it. If you don’t do this, it might leave an area from the close up at the bottom and we don’t want to keep that. Go to the bottom layer and unhide it. Select All and paste a paper of choice in to the selection. I used Paper10. Add a mask of choice to this layer and merge group. If the mask layer is very faint, you can duplicate it and merge it down with the bottom mask layer. Time to get a name or saying on your creation. Activate the Text Tool. I used “SpringLPStd-Light.otf” Size 80 pixels, anti-alias – Smooth. Fore- and background colour is set to white. Convert to raster. I used Gradient Glow with a dark colour from the tube on the name, with these settings: On the Color tab, I used the Fat setting.
Add a drop shadow to the name. Resize your tag down to 500 px on the longest side. Add the copyright info and save your tag as png of jpg. Thanks for trying my tutorial. Hugs Lithy
