This tutorial was written April 29th, 2013. I used Corel X3, but it should work in other versions as well. It’s assumed that you have working knowledge on how to resize and working with layers. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: Any tube you decide on. I’m a gorgeous tube by Tony Mauro that you can purchase at My Tubed Art. I also used a PTU kit called “Fresh Day” by Albina Design. This was a freebie when I got it, but you can purchase it at Digital-Crea. Materials you need: A masks of choice. I used “WSL_Mask345" by Weescotlass. She got tons of awesome masks. A font that you like. I used “Janda Cheerful Script”. Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (Optional) My settings for drop shadow: 3, 3, 70, 8, Black. Make a new canvas, 700 x 700 pixels. Add a new raster and go to Selections and choose Select All. Paste element 61 into the selection and select none. Paste the tube as a new layer. Place it towards the right. Paste element 7 as a new layer. Resize it down to 25% and mirror it. Place is so that it's right on top of the tree on the left side on the paper (element 61). Activate the eraser and remove all parts that is in front of the tube at the bottom. We want it to look like the swing is actually hanging in the tree. Do not remove the green parts of the tree. Mine looks something like this when I hide the paper layer: Add a drop shadow to the tube layer. Now it's time to have some fun and add some elements. I have listed which one I used and what I resized them down to. Please see my tag for placement if nothing is stated: Element 27 - 15% Element 45 - 15% mirrored - bottom right corner Element 47 - 15% Element 21 - 8% Element 51 - 15% Element 9 - 8% - placed underneath element 45. Duplicate this layer and resize it down to 75%. Duplicate again and repeat the resize. Element 38 - 15% - underneath the tube layer. Element 35 - 8% - bottom right corner. Add a drop shadow to all the layers, except tube layer, erased tree layer and element 38. Go to the paper layer and add your mask. Merge group. If you use a different mask, you might have to erase a little bit more from the erased tree we did earlier. Hide the bottom layer (if you got a white background) and crop your tag with Merge Opaque. Activate your Text Tool, find the font you want to use and type out the name. Convert to raster. I had both fore- and background set to black with these settings: I always like to see the name "pop" so I used Gradient Glow with these settings: The colour codes I used comes from the background: #5bc31d and #c2e822.
Don't forget to add a drop shadow to the name. Resize your tag and add the proper copyright. Save as png or jpg and you're done! Thanks for trying my tutorial. Hugs Lithy
