This tutorial was written April 10th, 2013. I used Corel X3, but it should work in other versions as well. It’s assumed that you have working knowledge on how to resize and working with layers. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. Please look at my TOU for more info. The supplies you need: A tube of choice. I used a beautiful tube from Zindy S.D.Nielsen. I also used a kit called Symphony by CBJ. Both the tube and the kit can be purchased as a collection or separate over at Zindy-Zone. The collection is called “Flower Fairy Collection”. Here is a preview of the collection: (Click on the image to see it in full view) In my second example at the bottom, I used a tube by Aleksandra. You can purchase her art at My Tubed Art. Materials you need: Mask of choice. I used Mask 7 by Horseplay’s Pasture. A font of choice. I used “Symphony” Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow (optional) Let’s get started! Open a blank canvas that is 700x700 pixels. Paste FrameWrap2 as a new layer and resize it down to 70%. Activate your Magic Wand and click inside the frame. Expand by 5 and Invert. Go to the layer below the frame and add a paper. I used Paper 14. Hit delete and Deselect. Go to the bottom layer and paste Wire. Resize it down to 80% and move it up a little bit. Paste GlitterSwirl and resize it to 50%. Place on the right side. Paste LightBeam2 above the paper layer and resize it down to 65%. Move it up a little bit and duplicate it. Flip the duplicate and place these two layers towards each other in the middle. See my tag for reference. Merge these 2 together. Go to the frame layer and paste VioletFloral. Resize it to 70% and place it in the top left of the frame. Paste Ribbon2 and resize it to 50%. Move it in place below the crochet flowers after you have pasted them. Paste Crochet Flowers as a new layer. Place it at the bottom of the frame. Paste Hummingbird as a new layer and place it in the top left corner by the flower. Resize it to 70%. See my tag for reference. Go to the top layer and paste Chain. Resize it by 50% and place it on the right side. Do the same with a bow. I used Bow4 and resized it down to 25%. Paste the tube and place it a little bit down. See my tag for reference. If you use a different tube, like I did in the second example below, you have to hide the bottom of the tube. To do this, I pasted the tube below the ribbon. Time to add some drop shadow to the layers. I used 3, 3, 70, 8, Black on all layers, except the paper layer and the light beams. Go to the bottom layer and add a paper. I used Paper1. Add your mask and merge group. Duplicate the mask layer once and merge these two. Crop your tag with the Merge Opaque setting. Change to your Text Tool, find the font, change the size to 80, both fore- and background colour to white and write your name. Convert to raster. I added a Gradient Glow to the name, using Eye Candy 4000. I set glow width to 3, left the other settings as default. On the Colour tab I changed it to the Fat setting and chose #2a656b as the colour. Add the same drop shadow to the name as you used earlier. Resize your tag and save as png or jpg. Here is another sample and I used the beautiful art of Aleksandra: Thanks for trying!
